A Bespoke Approach to Tarmac Surfacing

When we quote for tarmac surfacing, we may ask a variety of questions to determine how best to go about each job. This bespoke approach is to ensure that you have a high quality, long lasting surface, and ultimate satisfaction.

Types of Tarmacadam

• Open Grade Tarmacadam - This can be put down over the top of hardcore and is SUDS compliant (allows surface water to be removed to prevent flooding in urban areas).
• Close Grade Tarmacadam - This is a good quality finishing tarmacadam surface with smaller chippings in the aggregate mixed with Bitumen. It is used to put a new surface on top of existing, or new roads and drives.
• Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) - A refined tarmacadam mix with fibres added to the mix to enhance its wearing and durability. Each individual layer whether it is hardcore or tarmacadam is compacted / rolled into place to suit and the edges sealed with a jointing sealant to finish.
• Coloured Aggregates - There are coloured resins / fine aggregates available. We recommend you contact us for a sample.

Pothole Repair

Typically we would repair potholes in the Winter months as a temporary measure. We would then recommend applying a continous layer over the top during Summer / Autumn when the weather is better, as as permanent fix.
